Terms of Service

By using FloofCam (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
FloofCam allows users to turn personal devices into remote monitoring cameras for viewing video and/or audio streams.
2. Use at Your Own Risk
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Continuous availability
- Reliability of video/audio streams
- Delivery of notifications or alerts, including noise alerts
- Timely receipt of notifications or alerts
- Detection of all sounds or events
- Capture, storage, or availability of photos attached to alerts
Activity logs and alerts are provided for informational purposes only. They may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate, and FloofCam does not guarantee that all events will be recorded or delivered.
If enabled, premium alert photo capture may attempt to capture and store a still image when an alert event occurs. Photo capture may fail, be delayed, or be unavailable, and FloofCam does not guarantee that any alert photo will be captured, stored, or delivered.
3. No Liability for Loss or Damage
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FloofCam is not liable for:
- Missed events, such as not seeing your pet
- Missed sounds, alerts, or noise events
- Device failures
- Data loss
- Indirect or consequential damages
4. User Responsibility
You agree that you are solely responsible for:
- Your devices and their security
- How you use the Service
- Compliance with all applicable laws
- Obtaining consent before enabling features that may capture photos in monitored spaces
You must not use FloofCam:
- To monitor people without their consent
- For unlawful surveillance
- In violation of privacy laws
5. Camera and Surveillance Disclaimer
FloofCam is not a security system.
You acknowledge:
- It is not intended for emergency or safety-critical use
- It is not intended for security monitoring use
- It should not be relied on to prevent harm, theft, or loss
- Noise alerts may be delayed, missed, or unavailable
6. Accounts
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
- All activity under your account
7. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third-party providers, such as hosting and authentication. We are not responsible for their performance or actions.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access at any time for misuse or violation of these Terms.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States.
